Last month Stella began to struggle walking upstairs. Her lower back appeared sensitive to pressure and anti-inflammatories were commenced. When, a few days later, Stella exuberantly greeted her owner, she yelped in pain and her hind legs gave way despite being on medication. Lack of response to subsequent treatment led to her being referred to a specialist for a CT scan. The scan revealed an intervertebral disc extrusion. Decompressive surgery was required and she is now making good progress, slowly regaining proper control of her hind legs. Stella has been an absolute star and a real pleasure to look after. We extend her every best wish in her ongoing convalescence.
